Only Two Steps: Select a Program and Register for It

  1. Select a program. From the menu of options shown in the Programs area of this site, select a program. If you are not sure which to choose, email us as info@fccapitalunited.com and we'll help.
  2. Register for the program. There are two ways to register. Up until August 15, you may click Register Online, which will open a window to our online registration portal. You will need to pay online using a credit card. You may also register by mail (address is under Contact Us), sending us a completed registration form, signed waiver and payment by cheque. All cheques must be made payable to Capital United Soccer Club at the address shown below. Be sure to complete the right form, either for our Youth Development Program and Summer Camps (YDP) or the form for our Competitive Programs. You must also sign the waiver. One is for players 18 or older. The other is for players under age 18. These forms and waivers will open in a new window when you click on the links below.

If you are registering more than one person, be sure to complete the registration process for each one. Payments must accompany the form in order for a person to be registered. Schedules can be found under this link Schedules.

Membership Fees

Fees paid to the Club are membership fees, not program fees. Those membership fees allow members to vote at the Club's Annual General Meeting. They also entitle members to specific rights and privileges. The Club does expect members to be active in supporting its activities. It is the Club's right to determine how fees are to be charged and managed. The fees are aligned with the costs needed to run all Club programs on an annual basis, which includes registration costs, coaching services and facility rentals. The fees represent membership dues, not fee for service payments. This affects how refunds are administered by the Club. Please read the Refund Policy and Guidelines before registering for a program.

In our Competitive Programs, we remain committed to long-term player development. This can only come from a continual and consistent focus on soccer touches. Our fee structure supports that goal with year round fees. This is why we have year round fees for the Elite, Competitive and Mini programs. In fact, at the top level of play within an age group, we only offer year round fees to support our year round programs. We expect those members to be in our programs year round.

Many teams also require additional funding for tournaments and social events. These fees are separate from Club membership fees.

New for 2010, our fees for most programs (except camps) now include a full uniform. Members keep this uniform at the end of the program. This change allows the Club to better manage its uniform supply and inventory. It also reduces the work associated the administration of the former uniform deposit.

Volunteer Fees

As a small club, Capital United depends on the involvement of its members to volunteer for a variety of activities. This includes managing a team, coordinating registrations or participating on the Board and its committees. Recognizing that many members are simply too busy to volunteer, we have included in our Competitive fee structure an annual volunteer fee of $30. This does not apply to the YDP or Senior programs. Those members who do volunteer their time may request that the Board reimburse this $30 fee at the end of the year. Requests can be made in writing via email to info@fccapitalunited.com.

Family Discounts

The Club offers a 10% discount for each additional family member that is registered in a program beyond that member that paid the highest applicable fee. Please ensure you identify any additional family members when registering for a program so that we may apply this discount.

Child Fitness Tax Credit (Government of Canada)

The Club will issue receipts in support of the federal government's child fitness tax credit. This allows parents to claim a maximum of $500 per year for eligible fees paid for each child in our program. You can find more information at the following link for the Canada Revenue Agency, http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/whtsnw/fitness-eng.html.

Payment of Fees

The Club recognizes the difficulties inherent in paying a year round fee in one lump sum for our Youth Competitive programs. We allow these members to pay in installments as follows:

  • Two equal payments – March 15th and May 15th
  • Three equal payments – March 15th, May 15th and July 15th
  • Equal monthly payments - minimum first payment of $450 on March 15th, then equal monthly payments on the balance to July 15th
