What Guides the Capital United Soccer Club?
Our Club is a member of the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) and its affiliate, the Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association (EODSA). We are subject to the published rules of both organizations. Our Club Constitution (click the link to view or download) is the document which guides our operating principles, policies and decision-making authority. The template for what must be included in our Constitution is approved by the EODSA, but it is our members who have the power to endorse or change the Club's bylaws in our Constitution at the Club's Annual General Meeting.
The Club's mission, objectives and core strategies are outlined in its Strategic Plan, which can be viewed or downloaded by clicking on the link. This was updated by the Board of Directors and selected volunteers in the fall of 2008. We will update this again in 2010.
We have a Board of Directors which makes decisions about Club direction, operations and activities. That Board is elected at the Club's Annual General Meeting. Each member of the Board is a volunteer that undertakes a specific role for the Club. Those roles are summarized in this document, Board Member Job Descriptions. Our structure for the organization is available at this link, Organization Structure. The list of Board members is available at this link, Club Contacts.
