May 16, 2011 - Club retains Silver in Club Excellence Program
TORONTO, ONTARIO - Capital United Soccer Club has renewed its Silver level status in the Club Excellence Program of the Ontario Soccer Association. This program supports clubs that want to improve the standards of the game, increase awareness about the value of soccer in our communities and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This recognition comes from the hard work of many members who volunteer for our soccer club. We are forever indebted.
May 6, 2011 - YDP kicks off May 14
OTTAWA, ONTARIO - Time sure flies. One week from now, our Summer Youth Development Program (YDP) starts with a full slate of training and small-sided games. Everything gets underway at 9 am at Pineview Park on Saturday May 14. Schedules and maps for the YDP can be found here.
Come out and see the kids in action. Join us also for an early summer BBQ, brought to you by the 94 Boys who are raising funds for their trip to North Carolina in July.
May 5, 2011 - Dontaye Whitaker may soon represent Team Canada at Danone Nations Cup
OTTAWA, ONTARIO - Here's another Capital United player who is making some noise. Dontaye Whitaker, from our U13 Boys Team, has made the final selection for the Danone Nations Cup Eastern Canada Team.
Danone is the organizer of the Danone Nations Cup, which is the world's largest international soccer championship for U11 and U12 boys. This event allows many young players to showcase their talent and experience on a world stage. Danone covers all of the costs for players.
Dontaye will soon play a match against the Western Canada Team. The winner will represent Canada at the international event. Go get 'em Dontaye. We trust you will enjoy the experience.
