May 24, 2010 - Capital United partners with Toronto FC for Club Academy Program

OTTAWA, Canada - FC Capital United and Toronto FC (yes, the pro MLS team) have partnered to create a Club Academy Program (CAP) for players age 7 - 16. The goal is to further the long-term development of Capital United players and provide another pathway for elite player advancement. Moreover, coaches for Toronto FC will share their coaching curriculum and expertise, which benefits Capital United coaches.

May 27 - Support your tournament by wearing your Club colours

May 17 - Trainers course re-scheduled to June 12

OTTAWA, Canada - Due to unexpected problems, the First Aid course did not run as expected on May 15. It has been re-scheduled for June 12, at the Walkley Room in the Heron Road Community Centre from 9 am to 3 pm. Please confirm your attendance before June 10 by email at rachelmuir@rogers.com. A commitment will be required as the Club is paying the fees for this course. Attendees will receive instruction in Basic First Aid, including CPR. Everyone will be certified when the course is completed.

May 1, 2010 - U13 Boys prepare for France trip

OTTAWA, Canada - The U13 Boys East Regional Team is excited about their upcoming trip to the prestigious International Tournament, Mondial Pupilles de Plomelin, which hosts 72 teams coming from 4 continents. As in previous years, the boys will start off their journey in the Nantes Region where they will be participating in friendly games and training sessions at the FC Nantes, Centre de Formation. The boys leave Friday, May 7th at 3PM. Their return is scheduled for Monday, May 17th.

Best of luck to our boys: Tristan, Oskar, Alex, Walid, Nick, Andrew, Michael, Majdi, Matthew, Zach, Josh, Hayden and Karim!!

This trip will be Capital United's 9th consecutive year taking on this journey. It is an integral part of our International Program Initiative for our youth players.
